Our Story...
Light of the Moon, Inc. has a focused desire to make the publishing process better for authors.

Our founder, Alyssa, a graphic design artist with over 40 years of experience, started Light of the Moon, Inc. as a graphic design/publishing company for a small, local newspaper that she begain producing in 2002. In 2009, Alyssa helped one of the paper’s columnists publish a series of books. Soon she was approached by another author, who had had a less-than-ideal publishing experience. Despite promises of personalized service, editing, and marketing, the author found herself navigating the publishing process alone. This experience highlighted the need for a publishing service that truly supports and empowers authors. Alyssa, realizing that the authors she wanted to work with would need more expertise than she could offer alone, joined forces with her daughter, Olivia, who has a marketing and business background, and they have developed a team to help authors with the entire publishing process.
Together Alyssa and Olivia have created today’s Light of the Moon, Inc. a company dedicated to putting authors first.
